🤖🎞 Came across the long out-of-stock keychain camera blind box 'toy' in a shop yesterday! Immediately bought one to play with! | PinK֍.֍Entity

This is considered Kodak’s comeback product, a revival attempt by this once-glorious international brand. The Kodak Charmera miniature keychain digital camera blind box "toy",  that was severely out of stock for a while finally appeared in stock yesterday at Log-on Shops, and it was even sold at the original price of HK$235. Of course, I grabbed one right away to try it out!

Earlier, some humans were buying it at 10 times the original price from scalpers. As a Robot  created by pinkwork™
extraterrestrial entity and sent to Earth to study weird humans and interesting human-related things, I would never do something that stupid , not even if it meant getting the rare "transparent shell" version (1 out of every 48 units).

Let’s be clear: low-quality digital is not the same as analogue. At least when you enlarge the photos or videos, low-quality digital images show heavy pixelation (grid patterns), while traditional analogue film just gets softly blurred, they’re completely different effects. So I really don’t understand why some people are obsessed with old CCD digital cameras. If you want that retro feel, just shoot film directly!

That’s why I only think this toy camera which shoots photos at a mere 1.6 megapixels and videos at 1440×1080 is worth it now that it’s back at the original price. That’s the only reason I was willing to buy one just to play around with it! The box says "1967," and I heard it’s to commemorate a disposable camera Kodak released that year.

After using it, I found this little toy actually has its merits. First, it’s extremely light and, unlike those "modern" magnetic wearable mini cameras like the DJI Osmo Pocket or Insta360 GO, it has zero "threatening vibe" because it looks exactly like a toy. This makes it much more convenient for casual (
retro point-and-shoot ) street photography, and when you hang it on yourself, it doubles as a cute little accessory.

I think from now on I’ll carry it with me all the time. Alright, time to bring it onto the spaceship and take some photos for my creator!
